Before you start feverishly setting up your hammock, we recommend that you first carefully choose a nice place to relax. And yes! The zenitude meter will only reach its peak if you set up your hammock between two solid trees, 3 to 5 meters apart from each other – depending on the nature of your hammock. Another option: you can also set up your hammock between two pillars or two beams.

When determining the proper hammock hanging height, the decision is based on the hammock's tension level. Let me explain: for a regular hammock, it is best to opt for a looser canvas, which is achieved by attaching the hammock higher. For a spreader bar hammock, the canvas will be tauter by attaching the hammock lower.

Once you have found the right hanging height, you can start wrapping the strap around the tree trunk. With the SmartHook, you can adjust the rope length to adjust the hanging height.

When hanging your hammock from posts, pillars or beams, make sure there are no sharp edges to prevent the strap from tearing. You can wrap the strap once or twice depending on the width of the stand.
